What a lash lift is

A lash lift curls your natural lashes up from the root, so they look longer and open up your eyes, with no extensions and no curler. Add a tint and they’re darkened from root to tip too, like mascara that doesn’t come off.

It suits straight or downward lashes that won’t hold a curl, anyone who wants a low-maintenance routine, and anyone taking a break from extensions.

Your appointment

  1. We talk about the curl you’d like and check your lashes.
  2. Your lashes are cleaned and laid over a soft silicone shield sized to your eye.
  3. A lifting lotion, then a setting lotion, each timed for your lashes.
  4. The tint, if you booked it, then everything is cleaned off.

You lie back with your eyes closed the whole time.

How long it lasts and aftercare

A lift lasts about 6 to 8 weeks, until the lifted lashes shed and new ones grow in.

  • For the first 24 hours keep your lashes dry: no washing, steam, swimming or mascara.
  • Don’t rub your eyes or sleep face down that first night.
  • After that, no curler needed. If you wear mascara, a non-waterproof one is easier on your lashes.

Lift or extensions?

A lift works with the lashes you have: more curl, no extra length or fullness, no upkeep. Lash extensions add length and fullness, and need a refill every 2 to 3 weeks. If you’re unsure, your artist will help you choose.

Pair it with brow lamination

Brow lamination sets your brows up and in place for weeks. Together with a lift, your whole eye area is done when you wake up. Book both online, one after the other.

Questions

Does a lash lift hurt?

No. Your eyes stay closed and you can relax. Tell your artist straight away if anything stings.

Will it damage my lashes?

Done carefully and timed for your lashes, a lift is gentle on healthy lashes. If your lashes are weak or damaged from a previous set, we’ll tell you and suggest waiting.

How often can I have it done?

Every 6 to 8 weeks, once the last lift has grown out.

I have sensitive eyes or skin. Can I still have it?

Usually, yes. Tell us when you book (there’s a notes box) or at the start of your visit about allergies, eye conditions or recent eye treatments, and your artist will advise before starting.

No time that works for you?

Join the waitlist when you book. We’re alerted right away, do our best to find you a spot, and get back to you.

Can I wear mascara afterward?

Yes, after the first 24 hours. Many people find they don’t need it.
